- New workout class timetable starting 1st April 2009
- FREE swimming for over 60 year olds from 1st April 2009

The Future of Penwortham Leisure Centre
For more than 35 years Penwortham Leisure Centre and Priory Sports
and Technology College have been sharing premises and facilities.
The head teacher and school governors want to end the dual-use
agreement because they are concerned that having members of the
public on the site during the school day presents a safety threat
to their pupils.
The council has spent the last few months coming up with several
solutions that would enable the leisure centre to stay open. But
so far none have been agreed by the head teacher and school governors.
