Introduction

Situated on Liverpool Road and next to the River Ribble, Penwortham Holme Recreation Centre has operated as the playing fields for Lancashire Education Authority since 1928.

This makes Penwortham Holme Recreation Centre the longest established sporting venue in the county of Lancashire!

Penwortham Holme Recreation Centre is an excellent recreational facility comprising of a multi - purpose 'Red Gra' all - weather, floodlit area accommodating football and hockey.

There is a tennis court and one Netball court offering casual and league usage. A large grassed area consists of four football pitches, which during the summer months, host cricket, athletics, volleyball and rounders.

The pavilion area is used for activities such as yoga and aerobics complete changing facilities.
